Cypress Gardens Canoe Ride

Click on the picture to enlarge it and you will feel like you are there with me!
When you go to Cypress Garden you HAVE to take the canoe ride.  It is included in the price of admission which is a bargain in itself and it is well, very exciting to canoe around the alligators!  Yes, you might see them as they really do live there but they stay away from you.  Just no swimming, OK?

Turtle in the Lily Pond

I am so embarrased that I haven't posted a picture in so long but to tell the truth, I haven't taken a picture in that long.  We were up in the Blue Ridge Mountains last week and I have posted some of those pictures on my other blog.  So, here we have a picture from last spring at Cypress Gardens.  Can you see the turtle?  If you can't find him, enlarge the picture and you will!  He was enjoying life!

Cypress Gardens

Cypress Gardens is such a special place.  When we were there last month, the flowers had hardly begun to bloom.  May and June get even better.  But just look at what we did see!

I don't know what these flowers are - but I do know they are lovely.  Many of them were in the butterfly house.
Well, I do know bananas when I see them!

And I know that these are Azaleas
Can you see the little bee that was so busy?

This is the amazing Blue Bottle Bush!  Click on it to enlarge so that  you can really enjoy it! :)

Cypress Gardens Canoe Ride

This is the view from our canoe at Cypress Gardens.  You can even see the little white arrow directing us on our way.

Alligator

This big boy was swimming in the swamp with us.  Fortunately we were in a boat.  The alligators at Cypress Gardens don't pay any attention to the boats or the people and if you try to get close for a better look, they will swim away.  I used a telephoto lens for this so we really weren't this close!  I do respect them!
You really need to click on this photo to enlarge it so you can see him better!

Lily Pads

This picture says it all!  Just look how that Lily has pushed its way up to the sun, through the deep dark forest of leaves.
You need to click on it and enlarge it to really appreciate it.

Cypress Gardens View

We were riding in the little row boat at Cypress Gardens when I noticed how wonderfully tall and majestic the trees were!  The sun was peaking out too!
