Plantation View

This would have been the view from the home at Middleton Plantation.  The original home is gone but was perched at the top of this gentle rise.  You can see the Ashley River and to the right is the mill house pictured below.  The little ponds are called the Butterfly Lakes.

  1. Butterfly lakes is a good name for them.

I have discovered and am now following your blog as a result of you following my Tamarindo, Costa Rice Daily Photo blog. I have never been to Charleston, although my wife has been there on business several times and extended her stay to spend time in the historic district. Charleston has an excellent reputation, as people we talk to always say nice things about it.
