Loquat Tree

This loquat tree looks like the fruit will be for the birds this year.  But it will be a real treat for them!  I found this tree loaded with fruit in the downtown area of Charleston.

    I'm unfamiliar with this kind of tree; guess I'll have to do some research.

    Bountiful in the Lowcountry. Fruit can be eaten or used to make preserves or a popular liquore. Attracts Rats and flies.
